Josh Allen Salary 2021

Josh Allen Signs Massive Extension With Bills

Six-Year, $258 Million Deal Locks Up Franchise Quarterback

Allen's Salary Cap Figure Skyrockets in Coming Seasons

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has signed a six-year, $258 million contract extension with the team, the highest-paid deal ever handed out to a quarterback in NFL history.

The extension comes after Allen's breakout 2020 season, in which he led the Bills to the AFC Championship Game. He was named a Pro Bowler and finished third in the NFL MVP voting.

Under the new deal, Allen's salary cap figure will jump to $186 million in 2023, the highest cap hit ever for a quarterback. It will then balloon to $47 million in 2024.

The Bills are betting that Allen will continue to develop and become one of the NFL's elite quarterbacks. He has all the tools to be a star, including a strong arm, athleticism, and football intelligence.

With Allen under contract for the long term, the Bills can now focus on building a Super Bowl contender around him. They have a talented roster, led by wide receiver Stefon Diggs and running back Devin Singletary.
